NIFFFI '21 FESTIVAL INFO

The 2nd edition of the Nila International Folklore Film Festival of India (NIFFFI) will take place on October 29, 30, 31 and November 5, 6, 7. NIFFFI is an annual festival that showcases films based on or emerging from indigenous cultures and folklore from around the world.

We endeavour to bring to you slices of tradition, tales, arts and likeness from communities all across the world and to offer a platform to converse about the past, the present and the future. We look forward to having your participation and support.

NIFFFI '21 will offer an international selection of films that showcases our collective, often shared, ways of life. Entries will compete for the flagship NIFFFI Black Fire Award for Best Long Film (30 mins and up) and a new Award for Best Short Film (under 30 mins).

OCT 27 - In Focus - Conversation with filmmaker

OCT 29 - Festival inauguration ceremony

TALKS & EVENTS

All activities of NIFFFI '21 including its 'Competition section', 'Panorama section' and 'In Focus section' is recorded and available for free public consumption whether it be film screenings or interactions with filmmakers, artists or other subject-matter-experts. Such events are recorded and regularly updated in this section along with a brief description of the event. It is NIFFFI's aim to demystify and democratise cultures around the world and to maximise public participation and to stimulate meaningful discourse live online events such as webinars and forums had been organised in the weeks leading up to the Festival.
